As per prior posts all order are Pre-orders and will be shipped once I receive the stock.
Thanks

Pre-Orders – Starting on 3rd June 9am
As promised Pre-Orders will be opening for ALL router bits – this coming Wednesday 3rd June @ 9am AEST (UTC +10)!
More Profile Bits in June!!!!!
Well in a surprising twist – I asked my manufacturer to check there inventory on the off chance they had some odd stock and well the reply turned out to be a resounding YES! Resounding to the point that all bits (yes including the Soft V) will be back in stock all being well in a couple of weeks!
This will be clearing all the back stock they’ve ever produced for me – so this delivery will be the last for at least the next 2 or possibly 3 months.
Once all the paperwork has been confirmed and I know they are on the way, I WILL open up pre-orders!
Many thanks for all the orders! They have all been shipped this morning and you should have received a tracking email from Auspost – check your spam if it’s not in your inbox.
If you haven’t received it at all – then let me know and I’ll send you the tracking info.
Thanks!
8PM AEST (UTC +10) – All (except Soft V) Profile bit will be available!
At last!
Update – just going through the stock and realise that I hadn’t ordered any Soft V bits (primarily as I still had stock when I placed the order waaaay back!)
Thanks!
Progress . . but no stock just yet!
So the whole delay is down to the incompetence that is known as Auspost – they sent the parcels to customs and then I had to complete paperwork to for them to release it! The paperwork took a day and Auspost told to deliver them!
Now if Auspost can manage to do their job they WILL be delivered next week!
Well this is why I don’t do pre-orders . . .
The “Express Post” packages have now been sat in the Departure Airport since the 28th April and zero updates to the shipping information – supposedly waiting for a flight.
When I can get any update I’ll let you know – but the frustration is real for me at this point in time!
Thanks
Bits and Inserts and En-route!
To all those who have emailed over the past week asking when will the bits arrive, is there a list etc. Thank you for the patience!
As with everything I only update when I have actual concrete info so not to have to back peddle if things don’t come to fruition – which is why I generally don’t do pre-orders as I would hate to take orders and then the shipment get lost or whatever.
The bits were shipped from the factory yesterday and If the shipping times are as usual then I expect they’ll land on my doorstep come Monday or Tuesday. Every kind of bit will be back in stock.
In regards, to the inserts for thicknesser/planers they have left the other factory today so I except they’ll arrive around Wednesday next week.
I’ll update things as the postage tracking updates!
Well I wish I could be updating this saying “the bits are here…. “, however, unfortunately that’s not the case.
Both the factories used for production of router bits and inserts are struggling with the extended lead times for raw carbide materials.
The current expected delivery time frame is the end of the month – if there is any changes in this I will keep this post updated. I won’t be opening pre-orders since I do not have a confirmed date and how things are it’s possible the date could slip again.
Thanks!
Clown in Chief Strikes Again
So after the Supreme Court told the clown in chief (more like Pedo in Chief) that his circus of tariffs are illegal, he had his usual toddler meltdown and then via social media decided he impose 10% globally now overnight that has changed to 15% globally . . . but those can only exist for the next 150 days!
At the moment I have raised the tariff to 15% accordingly, but given the absolute clown show that is the US government is, things may change again and it might be a case of halting all shipments to the US because of this uncertainty.
Stock Update
So the last stock of profile bits came and have very much gone – thank you all for the ongoing support particularly to the US customers with the ongoing mess you have as a government!
The new stock is on order and is now expected early to mid April – one of the other impacts the Pedo in Chief has managed to do with the tariff and trade war is to raise Tungsten prices as China restricted the sales of Tungsten Carbide. So unfortunately, price increases are also on the horizon.
We have been selling carbide products are over 10 years and haven’t raised the price once – until the last year.
For those in the US who may be reading this and still supporting this Pedo in Chief, these are the real world impacts to voting for an incompetent fuckwit as your president!
Pricing
Well since the Pedo/Clown/War monger in chief and his gimp in Israel have decided to bomb Iran for no other reason than the gimp wanted to, guess what, tungsten carbide prices ain’t coming down, they’ve gone up further!
Here is the current market pricing for Tungsten carbide (the power what used for the cutting inserts and router tips). .
You can see for yourself the Pedo-in-Chief effect from the 2nd of April when he decided to begin his trade war with the world the price headed up and have not slowed! It’s currently 7x the price as it was last January!
All NEW stock will be impacted by price hikes, from looking at the raw insert price it appears it’ll be around $1 increase per insert. I haven’t worked out the router bit prices yet since some of those had a price increase a few month back.
As I have said before I will try to keep pricing as sensible as possible but some products such the 22mm two hole inserts for the old SteelCity 40305 and Sherwood thicknesser, just won’t be restocked. I was looking to restock these inserts however the pricing was going to make a the retail of single insert to be $10! I haven’t even asked what the price on the 6″ knifes would be, but given the 3 knives are nearly 300g of carbide and 1Kg of raw material carbide is over A$450 you can do the maths!
Ain’t it amazing – the day before I was due to leave the country on vacation for 2 weeks (for the first time in many years), what happens is the courier service I used for all shipping shut down . . .
Obviously this left things somewhat in limbo. I removed Sendle from the site and hence anyone trying to order whilst we were on vacation would not have been able to shipping quotes.
Upon my return and after reviewing possible solutions from other similar courier services I came to the conclusion that AusPost is going to be the easiest solution moving forward. Since they offer both domestic and international shipping including US Tariff paid services.
For possible International courier services I am STILL attempting to resolve the FedEx issues – but that isn’t going to be resolved anytime soon!
Stock Update – Profile Bits
Firstly, thank you to all customers who have purchased the bits and over the Christmas period completely depleted my entire stock (other than a few 52 Tele U profile bits). When I mailed the factory with an order and they responded in saying that due to difficulties in acquiring the raw material and the lead times involved fulfilling the order will take a long time!
The good news is that the factory had maintained a stock of bits and although not being the amount of bits I wanted they will at least be back in stock hopefully by Monday (2nd) or Tuesday (3rd).
FedEX binned – Sendle is back on!!! I decided to use my brain and work out how I can offer the Sendle Duty Paid service since the Sendle plugin for Woo ain’t been updated! So I have work out the general rate and plugged them in – they actually come in A$10 cheaper than Tariff and Fedex.
Update 26th November – Well I thought things were moving along nicely and using FedEx had fixed the shipping issues to the US.
However – this morning I have had to put a stop to all shipments via FedEX – as not only are they screwing up the tariff calculations but also attempting to charge based on dimension base shipping. Essentially charging me for a box of 230mm x 330mm x 60mm opposed to an envelope that is 90% air!
Hence, I am now having to dispute all the invoices for tariffs AND shipping – this is a royal pain in the ass. Since if I just pay what they are charging I’ll basically be selling everything at a loss!
UPDATE – 12th September – Well it keeps going downhill, to ship anything with FedEx requires that the receiver must have a FedEx account for them to charge the tariff. So the only option to keep FedEx as an option to ship to the US is by charging the tariff on the site since I will be charged it by FedEx. Unfortunately until I have time to sort out adding the tariff to the website I will be halting all sales to the US.
UPDATE – 26th August – Nothing improves – in fact it gets worse as AusPost (who I was looking to add as a cheaper option to FedEx) have also put a pause on all parcel shipments to the US due to tariffs, so at this point in time the only option I have is FedEx.
UPDATE – 16th September – US Shipments are back via FedEx only – the 10% tariff is added at checkout which is then charged by FedEx. As usual will closely monitor just what the orange clown, nutlick and the other clowns in charge decide to do.
Since the deviant felon, sexual abuser and overall orange clown decided to tax the suffering US Citizens with import tariffs, he has managed to TACO for many months. But earlier this month they actually came into force and thanks to this the International Shipper which we usually use has from today announced a temporary pause on US bound shipments. This pause is down to the fact that many parcels are being either returned to sender or delayed for weeks due to unpaid tariffs.
I know these tariffs are illegal and the courts are currently ruling on the fact that the Senate is the only body that can approve additional taxes on the US citizens. The goons in this regime may believe that suppliers will “eat” the tariffs but the plain answer is – nope.
Sendle are currently working on a new Delivered Duty Paid service – which will be available next month but just to be clear all prices for US Citizens will be imposed an additional 10% tax (which I believe is the current tariff for Australian import . . . but who knows!).
FedEx services are still available and the cheaper Sendle shipping will hopefully be reinstated in the coming month albeit with the additional tariffs applied.
Happy to report that there should be a noticeable site performance improvement! Previously, all traffic was being force to the hosted server which was a bottleneck on the performance. However, the site is now hosted/cached on the CloudFlare network so wherever you maybe you will be connecting to a local version of the site rather than the single server which obviously will give far better performance!
But also please rest assured all traffic to the site is encrypted and completely private and ZERO of your payment details are stored or cached.
So I have finished the previous stock of AusPost pre-paid Standard and Express bags and sadly since AusPost decided to hike the prices once again. Standard postage bags going from $9.20 to $11.00 and Express going from $11.20 to $14.40!
Hence all AusPost shipping prices have been raised in line with these prices, Sendle however is still an option and for most of Australia is now the cheapest option.
The old site was beginning to show its age and following updating to the newest version some modules stopped working and so I took the decision to move over to this new “shiny” wordpress based WooCommerce site.
All old users details (including passwords) have been migrated over along with all old order details, so in theory all should be the same as the old but faster and shinier!
